Well I guessed by the name that this was not likely to be a favorite of Ki's and seeing floaty things, toadstools and stylized flowers on landing didn't do anything to change that. I could tell by the fact he didn't even move forward from the landing point that this was going to be a no for him but well we have to give it a go don't we?
To be honest, I just did not get this place at all. It is advertised as a medieval theme and some parts of that were really good but there was just way too much going on that didn't need to be there. Too many gazebos and waterfalls that just didn't give off a nice flow to the place. The terrain was too flat and open.
I love tree houses so I almost physically dragged Ki over to check it out but I am afraid there was no romance here today. Neither of us were feeling it.
He did like the 2nd Magic off sim though but that is only probably because we have it at home.
The harbour and pirate ship were good but again nothing here said "lovers" or "romance" to either of us.
Now in case you think my review is unfair and influenced by Ki, I went back alone the next day and wandered round and I stand by all I have said previously but visit yourselves you may think differently.

Our musings on places we visit in virtual worlds. We like a wide variety of experiences, some we agree on and some we don't but this is where we share our views on places we visit in Second Life and other worlds we may wander into. From time to time I may drag friends along to get their views too.

Worlds End Garden
We land underwater here in an atmospheric rose garden with the sound of water and bubbles floating around. Follow your way around to an arbor and seats and you will find an anywhere door to click.
Walking through the door you are transported to a partially sunken land with wonderful windlight settings. There are decaying, derelict buildings spread around a vast sea with haunting sounds of a lost hamlet.
With plenty of places to sit you can immerse yourself in the peace and tranquility and a lot of the items around are for sale if you click on them with a store located in what appears to have been the main building.
There are "anywhere doors" around too so click on those and be transported to some wondrous places.
I think Ki had a call of nature against this tree due to all the water around.
Walking on water is possible here too as you explore all the outposts and ponder what has happened. It draws you in and tugs your imagination into life with possible scenarios of the life lived here and the events that led to it's demise.
Make sure your ambient sound is on and your mind free to wander. We both really enjoyed this place and spent a long time silently reflecting. (over a glass of red of course)

Yogyakarta Borobudar, Indonesia
Well it is a well done build but that is about all I can say here. I will paste the destination guide notes.
"Yogyakarta, Indonesia, has some of the most famous archaeological sites around. Borobudur and Prambanan are some of the largest ninth century temples discovered. Come explore these intricate and mysterious locations."
I am sure a lot of work went into this build but I am sorry to say it was spoiled by the bright orange neon sign for a store. Don't get me wrong, I understand that tiers have to be paid but feel that at some places there is a need to do this discreetly.
Worth a visit to see the work put into the build but I flew about, saw nothing else to keep me there and we left after less than 5 minutes once Ki had managed to get himself out of the water.

Alirium
When you first land at Alirium you seem to be somewhere black with a white beam emanating from the centre of the floor and colourful butterflies which look very good against the black background. Walking towards this you fall down a hole into a store containing landscaping items. Further investigation reveals that the store is disguised inside a giant tree trunk. Clever and effective I thought.
Finding your way outside you become awash with colours and sounds.
I have never been a fan of too many things emitting around me but here the butterflies work well.
The sim is beautifully landscaped with a mix of reality and fantasy that merge really well together. On further inspection the sim covers all 4 seasons as you make your way around.
It appears most, if not all, the trees, grasses and other landscaping items were in the store inside the tree and I am reliably informed by the king of camming with his draw distance whacked up that there was a store higher in the sky too.
There are a lot of areas here to sit and ponder and I found it a perfect relaxing place to do just that with the sound of birds and water and beautiful sunbeams.
I like this place a lot. Ki found it a "little chintzy" (a boy thing maybe) but thought it was very well done. I would have liked to have seen some dance balls around because to me this is a sim for romance and maybe somewhere to cuddle. I even went back to look again for some because I wanted to add this to my list of top dancing places.

Skye Neist Point
Well a girl has to start somewhere and so I thought the best place was somewhere I love and we are both very familiar with. Studio Skye is one of my favorite places (if not THE favorite) to buy landscaping items and textures. With creations set out over 2 sims, this is a lovely place just to wander through the woods, sit on the beach, paddle in the enchanted pool or gaze from the cliffs.
Anyone who has visited my home parcel knows that I can't resist visiting Studio Skye every time Alex sends out a message that he has popped a new creation on the marketplace but even if you are not thinking of a new purchase I guarantee this is one of the premier sims in SL.
I could sit here all day playing with windlight and getting a totally different experience each time.
Gushing too much? I don't think so. Sometimes I wish Ki and I still had a full sim in SL so I could recreate this place with its streams, rivers, pathways and some wonderful buildings too.
Check out this place. It is an 11/10 from me and I am sure you will be inspired to lose that beach and palm trees and go mesh with a forest!
The texture store is also on the adjoining sim with at least 5 floors of wonderful high quality textures.
I best hush now or I will give away all the secrets. Ki didn't accompany me on this one. I often sneak over there for some quiet time and when I tell Ki where I have been his first question is usually "What did you buy this time?" Followed by "Where are you going to fit it?"
